World overpopulation and unsustainable growth
1/10/2008
In the last 44 years, the world population has doubled. The pressure of overpopulation on both renewable and non-renewable resources is bringing irrevocable damage to the environment. The demand for more land, water and food has lead to scarcity of resources. Resulting water shortages, soil exhaustion, loss of forests, air and water pollution; the search for higher standards of living is endangering the lives of our future generations.
